It's as easy as calling the restaurant, telling them you'd like to pay for a round of drinks and appetizer, bottle of bubbly, dessert, or whatever else you feel like giving, and letting the server take care of serving your surprise.

Yes! This happened for Joe's birthday - and thank you for thinking of it! We had appetizers and a beverage of choice courtesy of your family, and he was quite surprised!
ReplyDeleteHe was the inspiration for this post, although I did this for Kate when she was vacationing in Savannah for her birthday, too. That's my other favorite application for this -- the birthday guy or gal who is out of town and celebrating. I did this for a friend's 40th when they were in Detroit, and it was a great surprise.
